Job Description:

Infosys is hiring a Systems Engineer to join its Information Systems Service Line in Bangalore. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of experience who want to build their career in infrastructure operations, server administration, and application deployment support.

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll handle Windows and Linux server administration, IIS web server management, and application deployment while ensuring system stability, performance, and security. You’ll also collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and optimize applications.

Core Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Operations:

• Perform routine system administration tasks on Windows and Linux Server platforms.
• Manage and maintain IIS web servers, including site configurations and performance monitoring.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and execute server operations in Linux environments.
• Ensure system and data security by following established IT security policies.
• Maintain server inventory, documentation, and operational runbooks.

Application Deployment & Support:

• Collaborate with application development teams for deployments and updates.
• Provide hosting support for .NET applications running on IIS, including error analysis and log reviews.
• Troubleshoot application connectivity and availability issues with developers.
• Automate application deployment processes using scripting and tools.
• Monitor applications for health, performance, and error conditions, proactively addressing issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or equivalent qualification.

• Ability to automate deployments using scripting languages/tools.
• Good problem-solving and collaboration skills to work with development teams.
